Why is Inner and Outer Beauty so split apart?

Ace Angel asked:

OK, I have a frank question on this never ending dilemma on why some things are frowned upon and other things are let go.

Many people say that Inner Beauty is much more important then Outer Beauty; while I do agree to this to a certain point I sometimes find it in a certain way a effortless factor on behalf of many people using it as their defense mechanism.

Lest face it, if your blind, handicapped, disabled, or have anything else that isn’t you fault but were born like, then yes, Inner Beauty is what shines most, and will make you look and feel great and thats it…

However, what I find ironic is that Inner Beauty is allowed to grow while the Outer is Beauty is considered too “Blonde” and superficial, so anyone who looks better the someone else is considered dumb, stupid or both…

My point is, why is Inner Beauty is allowed to grow, while putting implants to make you look better frowned upon? Aren’t they both the same? Just in different places and ways?

Sw.Antar Munish asked:

“Beauty doesn’t exist in things ;
beauty is a projection .

Beauty is not objective ;
it is subjective .

So
one day somebody looks beautiful ,
another day
the same person become ugly .

It is you who projects ,

it is you who withdraws ;
the other work just as a screen .

Once you come to know that
the mind projects beauty and ugliness ,

that the mind projects good and bad ,

you stop projecting .

Then for the first time you come to know
what objective reality is.

It is neither good nor bad ,
it is neither beautiful nor ugly ;
it simple is .
All your interpretations drop with the projection.”

Beauty care
OnFireForJesus! asked:

Most people want to make sure they look nice with make-up, hairstyles, latest fasions, and how everyone cool acts. Why don’t they care about who they truely are? We should start caring about our inward beauty rather than our outward beauty. The heart is a lot more important than how we look!

deltadom33 asked:

What people commonly term beauty is difficult, we live in a world which is influenced by the Media and TV to define what beauty is? When the Great Plague happened Fat people were in and in Africa as they lived longer. In our society were food is in abundance. Thin is in.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30

Favour is another word for Charm, Someone who is charming is hiding something.
Beauty is a thing that is temporary as it will last but a moment.
Even personality if someone is nice or hot? How do you define Nice you do not know who they are?

Jer 17:9 - Show Context
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Do we have to have a plumbline on what beauty is?

willow asked:

Which do you prefer? I realize this is very broad and vague, but there is a Japanese term for the beauty of imperfection. I’m not very familiar with the term or philosophy associated with it, but the idea of beauty in imperfection is very intriguing to me. Answer in regards to whatever first comes to mind. (i.e. human beauty as in attraction or natural beauty as in a landscape, or art, or… fill in the blank blah blah blah).
